In 2018, Karl left Deloitte for Origin House (primarily California presence), where he was active in scaling the business and its $1B sale to Cresco Labs. Karl then served as CFO to Trichome Financial Corp., taking the company public, and ultimately exiting to IMC for $100M.

Throughout his career, Karl has been involved in 25+ M&As, multiple capital raises, and go-public transactions. He’s built the necessary cash management strategies, teams, tools, metrics, and processes to allow for successful decision-making.

Karl has also been an active member of his community, serving as the President of the Ottawa Neighborhood Watch Board. With his proven track record, Karl is a valuable asset to any organization and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.

Matt is a Chartered Professional Accountant with 15 years of diverse experience in the corporate world. He has held various positions and roles in multiple industries, including the CRA, Deloitte audit, manufacturing, commercial real estate, and food and beverage companies.  Matt’s experience goes beyond accounting, encompassing unique skills in deal-making and an eye for what makes companies successful.

After starting at the CRA, Matt moved to Deloitte where he worked on a wide range of clients. For the next several years, Matthew worked in various industries, including manufacturing, commercial real estate, and food & beverage. He had an eye for detail and a knack for finding inefficiencies and identifying potential opportunities. This enabled him to rise quickly through the ranks and take on C-suite roles.

Matthew's career has been marked by his entrepreneurial spirit and deal-making expertise. He has raised over $350M of private equity in his career and is a uniquely experienced CFO with an intimate understanding of what organizational leaders and entrepreneurs go through on a day-to-day basis.
